Kohler Birthday Bathtub

This tub was introduced in 1973 to celebrate the company's 100th anniversary.  It pays tribute to the enameled cast iron manufacturing from its first product which was a bathtuilt from an enameled cast iron horse trough in 1883.  The company promoted this tub as "gracious living." This claw-foot tub is 72" x 37 1/2" freestanding bath.  It sits in a shower pan which will drain any excess water if the tub overflows as you warm the water to enjoy a long-needed relax.

Turner Rococo Mirror

This bathroom has a Turner Rococo Carved Mirror made by Turner Wall Accessory (39x56) #785. These mirrors were primarily built in the 1960s-1970s, featuring heavy frames with gold-tone resin with a classic Hollywood Regency flair. The Rococo style of this mirror has things like scrolls, flowers, and fleur-de-lis. They are molded rather than carved to create elaborate raised patterns.

Over the tub is a Spanish chandelier featuring hand-forged solid brass. It is a blend of Gothic and colonial designs that features crystals.  This piece was purchased from Earthwise Architectural Salvage in Seattle, WA.
